Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)

Students in the FEAT Program may earn up to 16 Credits for Prior Learning (CPL) and one credit for the CPL100 Credit for Prior Learning Seminar. These credits must be in one of three Core competency areas that have been identified and approved by the FEAT Assessment Committee. These areas have been identified as crucial for the development of teachers and the impact they have on students and school communities. Each prior learning request will be approved or rejected based upon meeting several criteria. Each student must register for, attend, and complete the seminar, CPL100 – Credit for Prior Learning Seminar (1 credit).

Criteria:

Completion of the CPL100 Seminar (1 credit)
Identifying and meeting one of the three Core Competencies (developed and approved by the Minnesota Paraprofessional Consortium and refined and approved by the FEAT Assessment Committee) defined on a rubric for each area
Completion of the CPL Portfolio
